[The Research Room] Homicide and Coercion: Toward an Integrative Theory of Lethal Violence

This seminar revisits findings from a long-term qualitative study on lethal violence in Brazil, using them as the foundation for a comparative theoretical framework on the relationship between power and violence. Drawing an analytical distinction between interpersonal and organised lethal violence, it advances four theses about their dynamics.
